Finally organised to meet my work mate and have a 40k 8th edition 1050 point battle (yes odd number I know)
It may be one of the last 8th edition games I play
but may just keep on playing it I dunno.
My death guard v primaris ultramarines
We are super slow so only managed 2 turns before we ran out of time but was good fun. Was nice to use the bloat drone with the flesh mower (think lawn mower but the lawn is space marines) for the first time. It really chewed up some hellblasters and managed to survive the 2 turns.
Also good to see my mates new redemptor dreadnought and predator see some action too! Both look like solid units atleast in the two turns we managed
We did get semi harassed by a fellow neckbeard who decided to watch our entire game while really wanting to get his imperial knights involved.... but oh well he meant well!
Edit: need to get these contemptors painted... they look really stand out like sore thumbs here!
@pawl where does gameplay etc fit in terms of boards on here? Wonder about combining with list building?

Doesn't matter what rules you're playing so long as you get to play toy soldiers 
And I don't really think it even matters how much you managed to play - in a friendly or casual setting the only thing that matters is that you're enjoying yourself!
