THE
WARP STORM

Been painting these guys for around 2 months on and off and got a kill team and Solitaire complete but now I’m working on a Starweaver. I chose dreaming shadow as I love their fluff more than the other masques and they seem pretty rare on the tabletop. Anyway here’s where I am with the Starweaver as of tonight.

Primed with stynylryz primer and then airbrushed the passengers platform with Gehennas gold.


Shaded it with nuln oil


Then a shade of Druchii violet.


I then stippled the platform with necron compound.


Then edge highlighted with Runefang steel.


The canopy I’ve painted in Caliban green and Khorne red and I’m going for averland sunset on the undercarriage. Pic of previous canopies I’ve done

Love how smooth the colours are - need to get saving for an airbrush!
The Dreaming Shadow scheme always makes me think 'court jester' like that the green and red are on the darker side though, looks less cartoony paired with the brighter yellow. How do you highlight/shade them?
Metalwork is solid too, would like to see how these all tie together when they're finished.

As they’re quite garish I’m going with the official colours from the harlequin painting guide from a few years back. So the red will have a squig orange and bestigor flesh edge highlight whereas the green will have kabalite and sybarite greens respectively.
