I've made a second Malignant Plaguecaster from one of the Plague Marines in the SMH Series 3 box and some parts from the Dark Apostle, quite happy with the results

And here is next to his older brother:
Never been a big fan of the Dark Imperium Plaguecaster, and the Japanese one is too tricky to get hold of unless you go down the recast route...
But I think these guys make great substitutes!
